Ingredients

2 cups hot water
1 box of Full Circle Macaroni and Cheese (which is one full box)(do not make as directed)
1 cup salsa
0.75 cup whole kernal corn, thawed
1 pound lean ground turkey breast
1/2 cup fat free sour cream
seasonings:
Chili powder, 1 tbsp
ground cumin, .33 tbsp
*Black Pepper (Ground), 1.0 tsp
*Dried Oregano, 0.5 tsp
Paprika, 0.5 tsp
Garlic powder, 0.5 tsp
*Onion powder, 1 tbsp
Pepper, red or cayenne, 0.25 tbsp
Directions
Cook ground turkey until brown
In a 2 quart microwavable bowl, mix taco seasoning, hot water, mac and cheese, salsa, corn and ground turkey and the dry cheese mixture
Cover and cook in microwave for 8 min and than mix
cover and continue cooking for 6 min
stir in sour cream, cover and let sit for 2-3 min before serving

this is a modified, lower sodium version of a recipe that was submitted by SparkPeople user DIETPRINCESS817.

if it's too spicy.. Omitt cayenne pepper... you can add salt at 1tsp for those that aren't salt concious.
I have also made a variation with: omitt onion and garlic powder ..instead.. cooken one large onion, diced, and one clove garlic minced, with the ground turkey.. i've also subbed in fresh oregano for dried...
****SiDE NOTE: when i looked at alot of mac and cheese boxes and compared what users were putting in for using the whole and the nutritional count....MANY forgot that the nutritional information is for ONE SERVING.. and most boxes serve 2 to 3 people.. so you need to make sure if you're using the WHOLE BOX .. to add in ALL of the servings it makes..
ex: Full Circle mac and cheese makes 3 servings @2/3 cup per serving... total amount you need to add for the WHOLE BOX is 2 cups..
