Ingredients
-
2 cloves garlic
1/2 scallion
1/8 tsp ground ginger
3 tbsp soy sauce
1lb flank steak
1/2 cup chicken broth
3 tbsp red wine
1 tsp sugar
2 tsp sesame oil
2 tbsp canola oil
1 tbsp water
1 tbsp flour
1 lb broccoli
Directions
In a bowl, combine garlic, ginger, wine, sugar, sesame oil, scallion, and 1 tbsp soy sauce. Cut flank steak into strips and add to bowl. Let marinade 4 hours or more. Marinading is optional, but it will help tenderize the meat, as well as enhance flavor.
In another bowl, combine broth and remaining soy sauce.
Cut broccoli into bite sized pieces. Heat water in a pan until boiling. Add broccoli and cook until crisp tender. Remove from pan. Drain water from pan and wipe dry.
Add canola oil to pan over medium high heat. Add steak to pan and heat until half cooked. Add broth mixture and flour to the pan and stir. Bring to a boil. Add broccoli and stir until heated and sauce thickened.
Serve with rice.
