Introduction

A rice pudding using cooked rice. A rice pudding using cooked rice.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    3 cups brown rice - cooked
    1 cup (not packed) raisins
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1-1/2 cups skim milk - or to taste

Directions

Put the rice in a small saucepan with all the other ingredients.
Bring to the boil and simmer for about 3 minutes.
1 serving = 1 cup

    mmmmmmm...pudding for breakfast! (Just like Bill Cosby's "chocolate cake for breakfast" - yummy & good for you!) I too added an egg and some craisins, as well as 1 T of oat bran & some Pampered Chef Cinnamon Plus. YUM! I felt full well into the afternoon. WIll definitely make this one again!! - 10/13/08

  • This was a very quick and simple recipe. I'm not a big fan of brown rice and it wasn't sweet enough for me(but I'm a sugaraholic). If I liked brown rice, I think I would have rated this as excellent. - 10/2/12

  • We've made this for years w/o the raisins and adding a pad of butter. I made according to the directions here and liked it just as much. My husband added sugar to his portion. - 11/7/09
