Ingredients

    2 lbs small thin-skinned red potates (each 1 1/2 - 2 inch in diameter) scrubbed
    2 medium -sized onions, cut into 1 - inch wide wedges
    2 T Olive Oil
    1 lb red-skinned apples
    1 1/4 C low sodium beef broth
    3/4 C apple juice
    2 T cornstach
    3/4 T allspice

Directions

Place potatoes in a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Seperate ionion wedges into layers and sprinkle over potatoes. Add olive oil and mix well.
BAKE in a 400 degree oven for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Meanwhile, core apples and cut into 3/4-9iinch wide wedges.

In a shallow bowl, stir together broth, apple juice, cornstarch and allspice.

When potatoes have baked for 25 minutes, add apples and juice mixture to pay; stir to combine. Continue to bake, spooning juices over apples and potatoes several times until potatoes are very tender and juices begin t form thick bubbles. (about 25 minutes.

    Very Good
    Made this last night to round out some leftovers we had. Everyone loved it. The sauce was a nice gravy consistency, but sweet with the allspice. - 9/28/12
