Ingredients

1/2 cup roasted buckwheat groats (kasha)
    2 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 cups milk (almond milk)
    1 tbsp honey (raw organic)
    1 tsp cinnamon

Directions

Combine all ingredients except honey in a saucepan and place stovetop heat on high. Bring to a boil. Once boiling, lower temp to simmer.

Allow to cook for 20 minutes, stirring regularly to avoid burning or clumping. Stir in honey and allow to cook for a couple more minutes. You may want to add butter, but I prefer to add this directly to the serving, if at all.

Top with raisins, cranberries (cranberry sauce is perfect for this), or fruit preserves.

    Bad
This came out really mushy, I wonder what I did wrong - 8/26/17

    Very Good
Used this as my guide, as I had not done "plain" kasha previously. Also Worked very well in the rice cooker using just water (previous experience that milk-like liquids tend to boil over).
