What a terrific idea! I gave it a 4 as is because I found it a little bland, but the second time I made it I added more cinnamon and some nutmeg, allspice, cloves and cardamom, which gave it some zip. And I also tried it with just a little cinnamon, 1T vanilla and 1/2 cup chopped dried cherries. Yum - 1/17/11

This was delicious! As suggested in the comments we added more spices, a pinch of cloves, 1 tsp of cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, 1/4 tsp allspice, 1 tsp. vanilla. Next time we make it, and we will, we're going to add raisins. Thank you for sharing this! - 4/22/15

Made this with the extra spices plus vanilla and still found it to be bland. Will try it again using nuts and raisins to see if that adds flavor. - 3/24/13
