Introduction
You know the second day after you make hamburgers, the ones that are left over, nobody wants to eat? This is a great way to handle that. Everybody likes this recipe - and you don't feel disgusting and fat afterwards from useless carby stuffing. If you are on Induction or really watching the carbs, cut back the onion to a tablespoon or two and add onion powder. You don't have to use 80% lean hamburger for the recipe, by the way. (If you use regular ground beef cut back on the coconut oil by about half.) You know the second day after you make hamburgers, the ones that are left over, nobody wants to eat? Ingredients
-
Hamburger patty 80% lean, 4 patties
Coconut oil, 2 tablespoons
Celery, raw, 1 cup, diced (remove)
Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped (remove)
Rosemary, 2 tbsp (remove)
Himalayan sea salt (available at Trader Joe's), 2 tsp
Freshly ground black pepper, 1 tbsp
Directions
Slice up the hamburger patty into small cubes. Saute the celery and onions in coconut oil (Most grocery stores now sell them pre-diced - try for fresh, not frozen.). When crispy add the hamburger, rosemary, sea salt, and pepper. Top with ketchup if desired - it adds sugar, though.
