Introduction
As part of my quest to eat more whole grains and unprocessed foods, I've developed a few tasty blends. This one is the simplest version, but go wild and adapt it to your tastes! As part of my quest to eat more whole grains and unprocessed foods, I've developed a few tasty blends. This one is the simplest version, but go wild and adapt it to your tastes!Number of Servings: 4
Ingredients

1/2 C quiona
1/2 C millet
1C vegetable broth or bouillon cube mix in water
1C water
2 dried Shitake Mushroom (broken into tiny pieces
2 Tbsp dried herbs (eg. italian, cajun, herb de provence, etc.)
1/2 Tbsp good oil (eg. toasted sesame, olive oil, mac nut oil, etc.)
Directions
makes 4 - 1/2C serving or 2Cups cooked grains
mix dry ingredients in rice cooker or pot. add liquids. turn on rice cooker or bring contents to a boil, cover, reduce heat and cook for about 20 minutes. (just like cooking white rice)
Fluff with fork and serve. enjoy!
Left-over grains are AWESOME!!!! use in home made stuffing, veggie patties, salads, stir-fries or like oatmeal for breakfast.
