Ingredients

    7 lemons, juice of
    5 1/3 cups of water
    ***simple syrup***
    1 1/3 cups sugar
    1 1/3 cups water


Directions

For syrup: Blend well in small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves completely. Let cool and refrigerate. Ready in 30-60 minutes.

Mix the syrup well with the lemon juice (strained or not, as you like) and stir well. Add cold water and mix. Try using sparkling water for fizz.

Pour into thermos or large jug, adding thin lemon slices if you would like. I like to make more lemonade and freeze it in ice cube trays, adding the cubes to the lemonade so it is never diluted.
