Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    3 cups Whole wheat flour
    1 and 1/3 cups warm water
    1T (rounded) yeast
    1T Honey
    1 (rounded) tsp salt

Directions

Mix yeast, honey, and water together until yeast blooms. Put in mixer with dough hook, and slowly add the flour to good texture. Knead for at least 10 minutes. Spray pan with Pam spray and cover and let rise until doubled - punch down - and double again. Knead bread lightly into a loaf shape. Cover and let rise again. Put into cold oven and turn on to 350 degrees F. Cook for 35 minutes or until browned. Let cool on a rack. Makes one loaf of bread.

    Makes great hamberger buns. I use the muffing top pan. I also added 5 grain oats. instead of the 3 cups of whole wheat. I put in 2 cups whole wheat and 1 and 1/4 cup of 5 grain oats.(Bob's Red Mill).

    I added about a cup of oatmeal to this and it turned out good. I shoudl have let it rise a little more the second time around.. but its still good and even hubby likes it!! - 7/28/08
