    3 c Blackeyed peas, cooked without salt and drained
    1 med onion, chopped
    1 med green pepper, chopped
    2 t garlic powder
    1/4 t black pepper
    2/3 c fat free Italian dressing


I do the peas in the crock pot so I don't have to watch the pot. You can use canned peas but you gain 13 calories and almost double the sodium.

Stir all ingredients together in a large bowl. Refrigerate at least 3 hours, preferably overnight.

    I love BEPs and chilled bean salads. I use canned or fresh/frozen peas and use fresh garlic. Yummy! - 10/31/07
