Ingredients

    2 cups dry lentils
    2 cups uncooked long grain brown rice
    1 cup chopped carrots
    1/2 cup chopped celery
    1/2 onion,chopped
    8 cups water
    1 cup vegetable broth
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1/2 tsp ground black pepper
    1 tbsp salt
    1 cup fresh mushrooms

Directions

Dried lentils and uncooked brown rice are combined with vegetables, seasonings and broth in this easy and nutrious soup. Chopped mushrooms are added in the last of the 8 hours of cooking time.
