Introduction

This was my grandmother's recipe for meatloaf. I grew up using ground hamburger but I've decided the ground turkey tastes better! This was my grandmother's recipe for meatloaf. I grew up using ground hamburger but I've decided the ground turkey tastes better!

Ingredients

2 cups of fresh bread crumbs
    3/4 cup chopped onion
    2 eggs
2 lbs ground meat (I use turkey)
    2 tbsp horseradish
    1 tsp salt
    2 tsp ground mustard
    1/4 cup of ketchup
    1/4 cup of milk
enought ketchup to "frost" the outside before cooking

Directions

Tear up aprox. 4 slices of bread to make 2 cups of fresh bread crumbs. Combine the bread with the onions, meat, eggs, horseradish and salt in a large bowl. Mix the ground mustard into a quarter cup of ketchup & add to the mixture along with a quarter cup of milk. Form a loaf on a cookie sheet (you may want to knead this first with your hands to make a firmer loaf) and frost the outside lightly with ketchup and bake at 400 degrees for 60 minutes.

Serving Size: makes 10 good size slices of meatloaf.
