Ingredients

    Part 1- 1 pkg cake mix (see below) yellow
    1 - 12oz can diet lemon lime soda ( Sprite or 7 Up flavor)
    ****
    Part 2 - diet jello, use lemon, lime, or orange
    cool whip style whipped topping - light no or low fat


    * Yellow cake with lemon lime soda - very good with cherry or lime jello. Try chocolate cake with diet cola and raspberry jello. White or yellow cake can use different colors of jello. Extra warm liquid jello can be saved for use spearately so that colors and flavors of jello can be mixed on the cake for effect.

    use any flavor with white cake - red & green for Xman, red & blue for July 4th, orange with yellow cake and cola flavor for Halloween, etc - whatever sounds good to you!) Carrot cake mix with Dr Pepper and pineapple jello.

Directions

1 pkg cake mix - follow directions and substitute 1 12oz can diet soda for other ingredients. Pour into 12 x 9 pan.
Bake as directed on box and allow to cool.
Poke holes in cake with wooden spoon handle.
Mix diet jello in flavor to match cake*
Pour over holes and place cake into fridge to set jello
Cover cooked cake with light cool whip style topping and cut into 16 pieces. Ready to serve & pretty, too.
