Ingredients

2 pounds extra lean ground beef
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1-2 cloves garlic
2 onions
1-2 stalks celery
1 bell pepper (green or red)
1 carrot
1 cup mushrooms
1 cup frozen peas
1 tomato (optional)
1 tbsp Worchestershire sauce
1 tbsp HP sauce (steak sauce, again optional)
garlic powder
bay leaf
chili powder
rosemary
other spices if desired
2 tbsp ketchup
3/4 cup beef gravy
5 cups of mashed potatoes (make as you wish)
Directions
• Cook Ground beef thoroughly - set aside;
• Chop all vegetables except for the peas
• In oil, lightly sauté crushed garlic cloves, then onion, celery, green pepper, carrot and mushrooms.
• Add cooked beef, peas and sauces, tomato if using
• Add beef gravy and ketchup to desired texture
• Pour into large oven-proof casserole dish
• Top with mashed potatoes to seal the top
• Smooth potato with rubber spatula or spoo
• Bake in 375 F oven 1 hour
Serve topped with leftover hot gravy (optional)
