Put 2 cups of water on to boil while you prepare the ingredients.
Wash 2 cups of long grain brown rice.
Wash 1 cup of Goya dark red kidney beans.
Mix them together with 1 tbsp ground oregano and a pinch of salt.
Put it all in the boiling water and put the heat on low.
Leave it there until all the water is either steamed off or absorbed - 45 min to an hour depending on your particular pot, burner, and altitude. The rice shouldn't be hard, but it shouldn't be mushy (unless you like it that way).
