Introduction

I'd seen a recipe that tenderized the pork with canned soda in a crockpot and then later added jelly to make a bbq sauce. I couldn't find the recipe later, so just tried my hand at it. Enjoy! Ingredients

-About 2 1/2 lbs pork but sliced and thawed
-1 can, 12 oz, diet Shasta of choice, I used grape for this time around
    -1 T dehydrated onions

-1/2 C all fruit jelly/jam like Polanar or Smuckers, I used strawberry
-1/2 C KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce, I used Hickory Brown Sugar this time

-1 can, 8 oz, tomato sauce, I used Hunts

Directions

---Add your pork evenly in the bottom of you crockpot. Sprinkle with the dehydrated onions and then evenly pour the soda on top. I then let the pork sit in the fridge covered for about 4 hours, but this is up to you.

---If you let it marinate in the fridge, then rotate the pork and cover again. Put on high for 5-6 hrs.

---Take the lid off and shred your meat. Stir in your jam/jelly, tomato sauce and BBQ sauce. If you want it thicker, then let it cook another 1/2 hr on high with the lid off. We served it with rice and a side of veggies. Neither is in the nutritional values.

---Makes 21 servings of 1/4 C each.

---Enjoy!!

Serving Size: Makes 10.5 servings of 1/2 C each.
