Cream cheese and veggies on crescent bread--a great finger food. Cream cheese and veggies on crescent bread--a great finger food.
Number of Servings: 8

1 can of 8 reduced fat crescent rolls
8 oz fat free cream cheese
    2 tbsp fat free mayonnaise
    1/3 cup chopped broccoli
1/2 cup (or one half fresh) onion, finely diced
    1/2 cup grated carrot

Take out can of crescent rolls, and preheat oven to the temperature set in the directions.
Roll out crescent rolls into one long sheet (instead of rolling them into rolls), on a long cookie sheet.
Bake for the amount of time directed.
While the oven preheats, mix together the entire tub of cream cheese, with the mayonnaise, until blended.
Chop/grate the vegetables, then add into the cream cheese mixture, and blend together.
After the rolls have cooled, separate the pieces, then place back together the way they were.
Spread the cream cheese mix over the top of the bread, chill in refrigerator, then serve.
Can eat the whole triangle, or cut into smaller pieces. Serving size, 1 triangle.
These can also be served as appetizers at any special occasion: Thanksgiving, holidays, birthdays, or anytime.

Number of Servings: 8

I used the TLC Kashi roasted garlic crackers instead of the crescent rools, so no cooking required, but I absolutely loved these. A little too healthy for my guests, but at least it meant there was something i could eat! - 6/10/09
