Ingredients

    Crust:
    1 stick margarine
    1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese
    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

    Filling:
    1 stick margarine
    1 cup sugar
    2 eggs, unbeaten
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 cup chopped pecans


Directions

Crust: Mix together margarine and cream cheese. Add flour. Roll very thinly; cut with a biscuit cutter. Place in small tins.

Filling: Melt margarine. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Add nuts and mix well. Put 1 teaspoon in each uncooked pastry. Cook 20 to 30 minutes at 350°.

Freezes well.

    There is no way this recipe could make 60 servings. Each serving would have to be about the size of a dime! Even with only 1 tsp of filling per tart, it would only make about 2 dozen. - 11/23/08
