Ingredients

    3/4 cup brown or red lentils
    2 tbsp. dried vegetable flakes
    2 tsp chicken bouillon granules
    1/2 tsp dried minced garlic
    1/2 cup uncooked medium pearled barley
    1 can diced tomatoes with onion & celery
    1/4 cup dried tomatoes cut into peices
    1 tbsp. dried minced onion
    1 tsp drid oregano leaves
    1/2 tsp pepper
    8 oz smoked sausage cut into peices
    4-5 cups of water

Directions

Put all ingredients in a pot on a low simmer on the stove for about 1 1/2 hours until lentils are soft. OR you can put all the ingredients in a slow cooker for 7 to 8 hours on low. Makes about 6 servings.
