Introduction

Ingredients

    Ham Bone from half of a ham
    2 cups diced sweet onion
    567 grams package of Hunt HamBean 15 Bean Soup Beans
    3 cans of reduced sodium chicken stock
    1 cup of apple cider
    1/2 cup of dehydrated mashed potato
    2 bay leaf
    1 tsp thyme
    1/2 tsp sage
    1/4 tsp salt
    ground black pepper

Tips

Can be made without the bone, but lacks that intangable comfort factor.


Directions

Soak the beans overnight, drain, and wash.
Dice the onions, saute until soft and just carmelizing.
To a stock pot, add beans, onions, ham bone, diced ham and liquids.
Bring to boil, then lower to simmer. Simmer 2 hours UNCOVERED!
Remove bone.
Add potatoes, stuffing, spices.
Simmer covered one more hour.
