low fat & calorie rye & wheat muffins low fat & calorie rye & wheat muffins
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1 c whole wheat flour
    1 c rye flour
    2 tbsp brown sugar
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    2 tsp caraway seeds
    1 c skim milk
    (raisins, nuts etc. if desired)
    .25 c egg substitute
    1/2 c unsweetened applesauce
    1 tbsp oil

Directions

mix together dry ingredients & make well in bowl
mix moist ingredients in separate bowl
pour moist ingredients into dry ingredients bowl
mix only enough to moisten dry ingredients
batter should be lumpy
pour into greased muffin pans
bake for 15 to 20 min at 400 F
