Great homemade granola recipe! I especially like it with fat-free light yogurt. Great homemade granola recipe! I especially like it with fat-free light yogurt.
Number of Servings: 40

Ingredients

    5 cups old fashioned oatmeal
    1 cup wheat germ
    1 cup whole wheat flour
    1 cup flaked coconut
    1 cup sliced almonds
    3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    2/3 cup canola oil
    1 cup honey

Tips

You can add raisins or dried cranberries to granola if you'd like. I prefer to add fresh or dried fruit when serving. Makes about 3 quarts of granola.

Directions

Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add oil & honey then mix well. (Measure oil first, then honey is easier to get out of measuring cup.) Spread into 2 large flat sheet cake pans. Bake in 300 degree oven for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes, till golden brown. Spread out to cool. Store in tightly closed glass jars or canisters.
