Ingredients

Cream Cheese, 8 oz, softened
Butter, unsalted, 2 sticks (8 oz), softened
Confectioner's Sugar, 1 cup
Flour, 2 cup
Strawberry Preserve, 8 tbsp (or other fruit jam or preserves)
Directions
Soften the butter and beat it until soft and fluffy. Soften the cream cheese and beat it into the butter. Beat the confectioners sugar into the butter and cheese mixture, then gradually beat in the flour.
Divide the dough into 3 parts and form it into a log about 2 inches in diameter and 10 inches long. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
Cut into 1/2 inch thick pieces, place on a cookie sheet and make a depression in the center. Add 1/2 tsp of preserves to the center.
Bake for 12 minutes at 360 degrees. Let cool on the cookie sheet for a few minutes and then remove to a cooling rack to finish cooling.
Store at room temperature in a tightly closed container.
Serving Size: Makes about 48 cookies.
