Introduction

Ingredients

    1- Medium Onion, chopped
    4 - Garlic Cloves, minced or pressed
    2T - Olive Oil
    I - Small Carrot, peeled & greated
    1 1/2t. - Chili Powder
    1 t. - Ground Cumin
    2 15oz cans - Beans (Pinto, Black, or Kidney)
    2T. - Mustard
    2T. - Ketchup
    1 1/2C. Rolled Oats
    Salt & Pepper to taste

Tips

I used less chili powder (1/4t.) and cumin (1/2t.)... it was plenty spicy.
Use a non-stick pan!


Directions

Saute onion and garlic until onions are soft. Add carrots, chili powder and cumin. Cook 5min. on low heat. Set aside.
Mash the beans in a large bowl with potatoe masher. Add mustard, soy sauce, ketchup, and the sauteed vegetables. Mix in the oats. Add salt and pepper.
Moisten your hands and form the mix into 6 patties. Cook patties on medium-low to medium heat for 5-8 min. on each side.
