Ingredients

    *90% Lean Ground Beef, 2 1/2 lbs
sweet raw onion, 1.25 cups, chopped
    1 Yellow Bell Pepper, chopped
    minced Garlic, 4 tsp
    Hunt's Ketchup, 1 1/2 cups
    *worcestershire sauce low-sodium, 2 tbsp
    Apple Cider Vinegar, 4 tbsp
    Stewed Tomatoes, 1 can
diced tomatoes with italian seasoning, 1 can
*Sweet Baby Rays Original BBQ Sause, 1/2 C
    *dry red lentils, 0.75 cup
3 tsp krogers zero calorie brown baking sweetener

Tips

my lentils were old so I added extra liquid thinking it would be too dry. They took a little longer to cook, but there was tons of liquid - probably didn't need any extra. YUM

Directions

In a large pot, spray the bottom and when hot, add onions. Cook till soft. Add Garlic and saute for a minute, then add beef and cook till not pink. Add tomatoes, lentils, ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar (or sweetener) worcestershire sauce tabasco (if desired, I didn't use it) pepper and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes until the sauce has thickened and the lentils are tender. Add more liquid if seems too dry. Serve with buns.
