Introduction

Super yummy!!! All you taste are the blueberries and the banana, you can't even tell you're having greens!! Super yummy!!! All you taste are the blueberries and the banana, you can't even tell you're having greens!!
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    2 cups of spinach
    1/2 cup of blueberries (optional)
1 banana (frozen or fresh) (I have found it comes out better if I freeze my bananas. To freeze, remove peel, cut banana into chunks - about 3 or 4, then put on a cookie sheet that has wax paper and put in freezer)
1 cup of soymilk (I'm sure you can use dairy milk, however I prefer soy)
    4-5 ice cubes

Tips

The smoothie is a not-so-pretty color, but don't let it fool you. The blueberries combined with the spinach give it a more brown color, but if you leave the berries out it is a nice green. Super yummy

Directions

Add ingredients to the blender, with the spinach on the bottom. This is very important, b/c the spinach leaves tend to fly up in the blender as you blend.
Start on a low setting, then move up to a high setting. Blend for a good 1-2 minutes. That seems like a long time, but you want to make sure that you've fully blended the spinach. Nobody wants to suck a leaf up in their straw!!
Once this is all blended, add some ice cubes. Then set your blender to crush ice. Blend till the ice is crushed and the smoothie is thick.

Enjoy!!
