Ingredients

    Ground beef, extra lean- 1 pound- browned and drained well
    Cornbread mix, 1 pouch
    Large egg- Eggland's Best
    Milk, Horizon 1%- 2/3 cup
    American cheese, Kraft 2%- 4 slices
    Cream style corn, 1 can
    Jalapeno peppers, chopped, 2 tablespoons

Directions

Preheat oven To 425 F. Empty package of cornbread mix into medium size bowl. Add 1 slightly beaten egg 1/2 can of cream-style corn, and 2/3 cupmilk. Mix thoroughly. Pour 1/2 of cornbread mixture into greased 8-inch pan. Mix jalapenos into ground beef, then sprinkle ground beef mixture over cornbread mixture. Place slices of American cheese on top of beef mixture, cover with remaining cream-style corn, then top with remaining cornbread mixture. Bake for 30 minutes or until brown.
