Ingredients

    Ground beef, extra lean, 32 oz
    Tomato juice, without salt added, 64 fl oz
    Tomato Sauce, 2 cup
    Onions, raw, 1.5 cup, finely chopped
    Green Peppers (bell peppers), 1/4 cup, finely chopped
    Pepper, red or cayenne,1/8 tsp
    Granulated Sugar, 1/2 tsp
    *Pepper, white, 1/2 tsp
    Salt, 1 tsp
    Chili powder, 1/4 cup
    Oregano, ground, 1/2 tsp
    Ground Cumin, 1.5 tsp
    Garlic, 2 cloves chopped

Tips

Great meal topped with cheese and/or fresh onions, in frito pie*, or over hot dogs.

We like to use Beanitos(R) chips.


Directions

Brown the beef in large pot.
Add onions and peppers, saute for about 15 minutes.
Add garlic, saute for about 2 minutes.
Add the rest of ingredients and stir.
Bring to a boil over high heat.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 2 hours or until desired consistency.
