Introduction

This is the sauce used in the plan as a base to many sautes. This is the sauce used in the plan as a base to many sautes.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 can coconut milk (pls. don't use low-fat)
    1 large onion, chopped or sliced
    3-4 cloves garlic, chopped
    1 heaping Tbsp. brown sugar
    pinch of salt to taste
    spices to taste: Ginger, cinnamon, Cumin, Turmeric, pepper, cayenne

Directions

Saute onion and garlic in coconut milk. Add spices to taste (Ginger, cinnamon, Cumin, Turmeric, pepper, cayenne), brown sugar and salt, reduce the heat to simmer for 10-15 minutes. (if you only cook small portion of kale, the sauce will hold for 5 days refrigerated , or can freeze it until ready to use).

Serving Size: it makes 4 servings 1/8 of a cup

    I love this recipe but one note the original Plan recipe calls for 1 teaspoon brown sugar instead of 1 tablespoon. - 6/11/13
