Ingredients

    15 oz can chick peas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed
    2 carrots, grated
    1 Tbsp chia seeds mixed with 3 Tbsp warm water for 5 minutes (or use an egg)
    2 Tbsp bread crumbs, flour or oats
    1/2 tsp lemon juice
    Tbsp chives, chopped
    1 tsp cumin
    1/2 tsp coriander
    salt and pepper
    1/2 Tbsp tahini (opt)
    1 Tbsp nutritional yeast (opt)

Tips

Bake at 350 for 15 minutes per side instead.
Tastes great served with avocado, lettuce, greek yogurt/sour cream and tomatoes/salsa in a whole wheat wrap.


Directions

Put all ingredients in bowl and puree with an immersion blender.
Form into 5 patties.
Fry in greased pan for 5 minutes per side or until browned and cooked through.
Serve!
