Introduction

Ingredients

    8 hot dogs
    2 cp. water
    2 tbsp. salt
    4 cp. vineger
    3 tbsp. red pepper flakes
    10 drops red food coloring.

Directions

In a large pot over medium-high heat, combine the water, salt, vinegar, peppers and red food coloring. Bring to a boil. Cut the hot dogs into halves or thirds, depending on size, and place into a large sterile jar. Pour the hot vinegar mixture in with the sausage, secure the lid, and let stand for 2 days before serving.

Serving Size: Makes 16 individual sausage servings
