Ingredients

    1 lb of turkey
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3 *(14.5oz cans) or the equivalent of beef bouillon and water
    3 carrots sliced 1/2 inch length
    3 celery ribs sliced 1/2 inch length
    8 Tbl barley
    1 cup chickpeas (garbanzo beans) or 1/2 lb package
    Mrs Dash seasoning mixed in beef bouillon
    1 bay leaf *(optional)

Tips

My husband really likes his food with extremely HOT SEASONINGS - he wanted a 1/4 cup of tomato salsa added to his bowl!


Directions

Brown ground turkey and 1/2 onion in skillet; drain place in slow cooker the turkey,3 14.5 oz or the equivalent with bouillon cube and water;2 sliced carrots,3 ribs celery, go into pot; add .5 lb bag of pearl barley and chickpeas; then add the bouillon with the Mrs Dash salt-free seasoning to your taste Cover and cook on HIGH for 3 hours - LOW 6-8 hours or whatever your crockpot manual states!
