Ingredients

    2 lbs lean ground beef
    2 14.5 oz cans diced tomatoes
    1 29 oz can of tomato sauce
    1 15 oz can of kidney beans, rinsed and drained
    1 15 oz can of pinto beans, rinsed and drained
    1 1/2 cup chopped onion
    1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
    1/8 tsp ground cayenne pepper
    1/2 tsp white sugar
    1/2 tsp dried oregano
    1/2 tsp ground black pepper
    1 tsp salt
    1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
    1/4 cup chili powder

Directions

Place ground beef in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain the grease.
In a large pot, over high heat, combine all the ingredients.
Bring to a boil, and then reduce heat to low.
Simmer for 1 ˝ hours.

Serving Size: Makes 12, one cup servings
