Introduction

A healthy smoothie that tastes better than it looks. Adding protein and/or flax seed meal would make it even more nutritious. A healthy smoothie that tastes better than it looks. Adding protein and/or flax seed meal would make it even more nutritious.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

1 cup vanilla yogurt (I use Brown Cow Cream Top)
    1 cup coconut water
    1 cup pineapple
3 cups (2.9 oz) of raw baby spinach
    1 medium banana

Tips

Easiest method I've found is to fill the blender in the following order so you can use the markings on the pitcher for measurement: yogurt, coconut water, pineapple. Then add a couple handfuls of baby spinach and start the blender on a low setting until the spinach starts to get mixed in. Increase the speed and drop the banana (broken into a couple segments) through the opening on the top of the blender cover (if you have it--otherwise stop the blender, add the banana and restart). Works great with frozen banana chunks too--nice and cold. Sometimes we add flax seed meal and other healthy ingredients to improve the nutrition of the smoothie.
