    2 pound ground beef

    2 onion, chopped

    8 cloves garlic, minced

    2 small green bell pepper, diced

    2 (28 ounce) cans diced tomatoes

    2 (16 ounce) cans tomato sauce

    2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste

    4 teaspoons dried oregano

    4 teaspoons dried basil

    2 teaspoon salt optional

    1 teaspoon black pepper


These ingredients are doubled. The original recipe had 1/2 these ingredients.



1.Combine ground beef, onion, garlic, and green pepper in a large saucepan. Cook and stir until meat is brown and vegetables are tender. Drain grease.

2.Stir diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato paste into the pan. Season with oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer spaghetti sauce for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
