Ingredients

Filling of choice (jam, mashed dates, chopped berries, Nutella, nut butter, etc) --big spoonful per pop tart

    1/3 cup maple syrup
    1/4 cup coconut oil
    1/4 cup milk
    1/4 cup applesauce
    1 egg

    2 cups whole wheat flour
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    Pinch salt
1/2 t baking soda and powder

Directions

Mix dry and wet in separate bowls then stir together until just combined. Roll into ball and wrap in plastic wrap. Put in fridge for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile make the fillings!

Take out dough and roll out thin (1/4 inch) in between two sheets of wax paper. Cup into 30 or so squares/rectangles. Drop spoonfuls of filling onto half of them and top with the other half. Use a fork to press down all four sides (looks nice too!)

Bake for 20 minutes
