Number of Servings: 21

Ingredients

5 pound bag of potatoes, course chopped
    10 medium carrots, sliced
    4 stalks of celery, sliced
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 tablespoon garlic, minced
    1/2 head cabbage, shredded
    8 cups water
8 tsp Knorr chicken flavor bouillon
    2 cups 2% milk
4.5 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 tbsp salt
    1 tbsp pepper
    1 tbsp garlic, minced
    1 tbsp worcestershire
    1 oz butter, salted

Tips

make sure your pot is big enough. It makes a lot of soup. This is the healthy version. You can use chicken broth instead of bouillon. Use your favorite cheeses; you can add more cheese, some velveeta cheese and some half and half cream for a very tasty hearty creamy delicious soup. Mix it up, play with it. Make it your own.

Directions

saute onion and garlic in butter in a very large pot. Add ground beef and brown with salt, pepper and worcestershire. Add water and bouillon and stir until bouillon is dissolved. Add carrots, celery, potatoes, green onion, and cabbage. Cover and simmer for 45 min stirring occasionally. Add cheese and milk and continue to simmer for 15 min. Enjoy.

Serving Size: makes 21.5 cups (need a large pot)
