Introduction

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1lb of ground turkey, lamb, chicken or beef it depends on how you are feeling that day!
    1/2 small yellow bell pepper
    1/2 small red bell pepper
    1/2 small green bell pepper
    1/2 small orange bell pepper
    1/2 small Vidalia onion or any other type
    ˝ stalk of celery
    1 green onion stalk
    3 cloves of garlic
    1 tbsp. of oil (any type you like) I use olive
    a dash of salt (to your liking)
    a dash of pepper (to your liking)

    1 8oz cup of fresh tomato sauce or canned
    1 tsp ground mustard or regular mustard
    3 to 4 tsp of light brown sugar
    3 dashes Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 tsp of garlic powder
    1/2 tsp of onion powder
    1/2 tsp of paprika
    1/2 cup of Ketchup (optional) ( I didn't add)

Tips

You can use whatever vegetables you like carrots it all depends on what you like! The key is for them to be FRESH! I used all the vegetables I had in my crisper so, DO WHAT YA LIKE!!! :)


Directions

In a saute pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, Add chopped veggies, a dash of salt and pepper, and cook until veggies are slightly softened. Add meat, cook, breaking into small pieces, until well-browned.


Once meat and veggies are cooked, turn heat down to simmer and add a bit of water to de-glaze the pan. Add the rest of the ingredients, mixing well. Cover with lid and turn heat all the way down to simmer.

Simmer, covered, for about 10 minutes—checking every so often to make sure it’s not drying out—add water or a bit of stock if it starts to look dry.
