Ingredients

    1.5 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    1 medium onion, diced
    1.5 cup diced celery
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    3 (15.5oz) cans of chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed
    onion powder to taste
    garlic powder to taste
    seasoned salt to taste
    pepper to taste


Tips

I prefer to use Lawry's Seasoned Salt and Jane's Krazy Mixed Up Pepper when I make this recipe.


Directions

Saute celery and onions in extra virgin olive oil until softened, around 10 minutes; add garlic and saute another minute; add chickpeas and spices to taste, stir until well incorporated, cover, and cook over low heat for roughly 30 minutes until chickpeas reach desired tenderness.

Serving Size: Makes 7 3/4-cup servings
