Introduction

This is a great alternative to the boring protein bar. It tastes like cake but has a high enough amount of protein to help stabilize your blood sugar and stave off hunger. It's low in net carbs (about 7g per serving) and they are Whole Wheat. You could even serve this as 4 servings and still not go over 15g of carbs per serving.*

*label does count erythritol carbs but it is a 0 Cal sweetener.

Ingredients

    0.437 cup Whole Wheat Flour
18 tsp Sweetener, Swerve, Confectioners Powder 1sp serving size (by HIPPO2HAPPY)
.75 serving Isopure Whey Protein Powder Creamy Vanilla (1 serving=2 scoops or 62g) (by ROBBIEA78)
1 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw
.25 cup great value fat free milk 0% fat
.5 oz Fage 0% Greek yogurt
    1 tbsp Butter, salted
.5 tsp Vanilla extract, imitation, alcohol
    .75 tsp Baking Powder
    0.25 tsp Morton's Lite Salt

Tips

I don't recommend switching to stevia since it has a bitter taste. I love the swerve confectioners sweetener but you don't have to add it as a topping. You could add the full 2 scoops of protein to raise the amount but I wouldn't add too much so that it keeps the cake-like texture. Too much protein can get rubbery or chewy, this is crumbly as it should be. :) I was also looking to stay close to 10 g for my snack Macros. Although I did make a Frosting with vanilla protein powder and fat-free cream cheese, vanilla, and almond extract that works great and adds more protein without adding tons of sugar. Check out my insta @rociiflores and I'll update you when I perfect a frosting recipe and share it here! :) Enjoy!
