Ingredients

3 serving Archer Farms Organic Pink Lady Washington Apples, 1 medium apple (154g/ 5.5 oz)
1 cup Steel Cut Oats, dry
2 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
1 cup Silk Pure Almond Milk - Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
3 tbsp Flaxseed (Spectrum) Organic Ground
    5 tsp coconut sugar, Madhava™ Organic (1 t)
    0.33 cup Honey
    1 tsp Cinnamon, ground
    1 tsp Ginger, ground
    1 tsp Cardamom, ground
    1 tsp Vanilla Extract
0.2 tsp Himalayan Pink Salt (by WJHUNTER)

Tips

Gluten free if the oats are! Hearty, nutritious and delicious.

Directions

1. Add all ingredients (except apples, coconut sugar and honey) to a pot. Stir to combine and set aside.
2. Cut the apples in thin slices and set on the bottom of a pan in a nice pattern, each slice besides the next. Once the entire pan is covered by apple slices, sprinkle with coconut sugar and add the next layer. When done with all the apples, sprinkle with sugar and set on the stove at medium heat with the lid on. Do NOT stir! Once they are cooked and tender, turn the heat off.
3. Turn on the heat under the oats as well, at medium. Use a lid. Stir often so it doesn't stick. Once it has thickened, add the honey. Turn the heat off, and pour over the apples. Spread evenly and let cool.
4. Cut it in slices and serve upside down!
