Ingredients

    6.0 oz Hillshire Farm Beef Smoked Sausage
    2.0 cup Soy Milk Plain Light
    2.0 cup (8 fl oz) Chicken Broth
    1.75 cup Yellow Sweet Corn, Canned
    2.0 stalk, large (11"-12" long) Celery, raw
    0.3 cup, chopped Onions, raw
    1.0 cup, chopped Carrots, raw
    1.0 serving Mini Sweet Bell Peppers (3 peppers to a svg)
    1.0 1tsp Olive Oil
    1.0 1tsp Coconut Oil
    1.0 pat (1" sq, 1/3" high) Butter, salted
    4.0 tbsp Argo Cornstarch
    1.0 serving(s) potatoes red skinned. Estimated 5 med 3 large

Directions

Heat both oils in bottom of pot & add diced trilogy & peppers. Saute for 5 mins then add diced meat. Continue stirring for another 5 mins before adding broth. Stir & season w/ thyme, marjoram, dried onion, garlic powder, pepper, chives. Cut potatoes & add; allow to cook while carrots, celery & potatoes soften. Chill water & measure out cornstarch. Add 1/2 C water to pan after mixing slurry. Pour thickner in pot, stir & add soy milk. Also add corn. Keep cooking on low simmer for 10 or 15 mins. Add pat of butter while mixture thickens. Continue cooking then turn off heat & cover. Allow flavors to meld overnight. Serve w/ oyster or Club crackers, or garlic bread. Chowder will thicken slightly when cooled. Dash of chalupa or tabasco hot sauce just before serving, final stir & serve. ENJOY.
