Tips
This freezes well in individual portions.
Can be assembled and frozen or refrigerated to bake later if desired. (Just don't put a cold glass dish into a heated oven!)
Directions
Heat oven to 400.
Cook 9 lasagna noodles as directed on package, drain and rinse in cool water.
Layer into a smaller casserole dish: 3/4 c sauce, noodles, sauce and a handful/ thin layer of cheese, noodles, etc so there are three layers of noodles and ending with a good layer of sauce plus cheese. (I don't put cheese on the bottom layer)
Bake loosely covered w foil for about 20 minutes until filling is bubbling.
Uncover and broil a couple of minutes to brown the top.
Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes before serving.
