Introduction

Ingredients

    Spanish Rice, Rice on the Side, 1 pkg
    Diced Tomatoes, Diane's Garden, 14.5 oz can
    Parkay, Original Stick Margarine, 1 Tbsp
    Parsley, dried, .5 tsp
    Water, 2 cup hot
    Ground Turkey or ground chuck, 3/4 pound
    Pepper (to taste)

Directions

Lightly brown rice and vermicelli mixture in tablespoon margarine or butter using large fry pan. Stir frequently to brown vermicelli evenly. Slowly stir in 2 cups hot water to browned rice and vermicelli. Stir in seasonings packet, parsley, ground turkey or ground chuck, and one 14.5 oz can of diced tomatoes, undrained, bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 15 to 17 minutes or until rice is tender. Fluff lightly with a fork and serve.
