Introduction

Simple meal to make that offers large, filling portions at a very reasonable calorie count. Lower fat options can be substituted for the butter and sausage. Any type of bell pepper can also be used. Ingredients

    1 Red Bell Pepper
    1 Green Bell Pepper
    1 Medium Sweet Yellow Onion
    1 Jar Eating Right Pasta Sauce
    1.5 Tbsp. Butter
    5 Sweet Italian Sausage Links

Directions

In regular frying pan, cook sliced/quartered onions in butter until soft/caramelized. Add peppers and sautee until cooked through.

In separate pan, cook sausages until done - as an option for faster cooking and easier portioning, these can be sliced.

Combine sausages, peppers, and onions in larger of two pans and add sauce. Cook until warm through.

Makes 5 servings (1 pepper - amount of peppers/sauce depends on size used).

Only 325 calories per generous serving and a favorite in our house - add Parmesan cheese to taste!
