Introduction
Macaroni and cheese with some spinach thrown in! Macaroni and cheese with some spinach thrown in!Number of Servings: 10
Ingredients
-
macaroni, ragu, ketchup, tomatoes, cheese, olive oil, garlic, seasonings, spinach
Directions
Makes 10 1 cup Servings.
OK here goes.
Preheat oven to 425 C . Boil water. Put the macaroni (elbows) in the boiling water with a little oil a dash of salt. Boil as long as indicated on the package. For me 11 minutes
While that is boiling dice up the onion, tomatoes and garlic. Put a dash of oil in a pan then throw everything in saute for 2 minutes then throw the ragu, seasonings, ketchup in and let it come to a boil then simmer.
I buy precut up spinach already cleaned and washed. Out the spinach in a colander and wash it. Throw the macroni and water over the spinach to blanch it. Mix it together with the pasta. Grate the cheese.
Layer the macaroni/spinach mixture with cheese and ragu topping it with cheese. Macaroni/spinach, sauce, then cheese. Two layers.
Then put the dish in the oven for 15 minutes.
Yummy!
