Introduction

Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    1/2 cup Shortening
    1 cup Sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp Vanilla
    1/2 cup Sour Cream
    1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
    1 tsp. Baking Powder
    1/2 tsp. Salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg (I had pumpkin pie spice on hand, so I used that, it was still good)
    3 1/4 Cups Flour

Directions

Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add sour cream. Mix in dry ingredients. Mix well. Roll out 1/4" thick and cut with cookie cutters. Bake 6-8 minutes (I would definitely start with 6) at 350 degrees. Don't over bake, cookies will not look that much different from when you put them in. Cool and frost. You can also just eat them plain--I think they're still good. Enjoy!

Makes about 24 cookies.
