Introduction

Sweet and Spicy dish to eat with chappatis or rice.
You can make this spicier by adding more chillies.
For variation: you can add 1 cup sweet potatoe or pumpkin and 1 cup pineapple instead of 2 cups of pineapple.

Ingredients

    Ingredients:
    For Masala:
    1/2 cup grated coconut (can use less)
    1 small bunch coriander leaves
    4-6 red chillies (can use more for spicier taste)
    1 clove
    1 tbsp. bengal gram
    1 tsp. black gram
    1 tsp. cumin / jeera seeds
    1/2 tsp. fenugreek / methi seeds
    1 tsp. sesame seeds
    1/2 tsp. asafoetida
    1 tsp. oil

    For Main dish
    2 cups of pineapple, drained
    1 tsp. tamarind juice
    1 tbsp. jaggery
    1 long spring curry leaves
    2 tbsp. oil
    1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
    1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
    Salt to taste

Directions

1-Masala: Heat the oil in a pan, fry all masala ingredients until lightly browned.
2-Grind in a blender with coconut and little water to a fine smooth paste.
3-Main dish: Heat the oil in a sauce pan, add mustard seeds, when it pops add pineapple, turmeric, curry leaves
4-Fry for 5-8 minutes.
5-Add salt, tamarind juice, jaggery, and masala paste.
6-Bring it to boil.
7-Simmer for 10-15 minutes until the gojju thickens.

Serve with chapatis/dose/rice.
