    Crock Pot!
    1 lb stew meat (tenderized if possible)
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    8 oz. Sour Cream
    1 cup long grain white rice (or favorite rice)


Place meat and cream of mushroom soup in a crock pot. Add seasonings (I use pepper, salt and garlic powder). Add roughly a tablespoon of water and stir. Let cook for 4 hours stirring occasionally. When finished add the sour cream.

Boil 2 cups of water. Pour in rice and simmer covered for 15 minutes.

Serve with meat sauce over rice. Makes 3 servings.

  • I made this Strogonoff today and it was excellent! I doubled the recipe and used Healthy Request Soup, as well as low fat sour cream. I too added minced garlic. I coated my beef with flour and browned the beef with onion before putting the mixture in the crock pot. I will make this again. - 2/20/11

  • Instead of a can of Mushroom soup I used i can Progresso low sodium French onion soup only cause it was all I had in the house at the time. and mmmnn it was good. - 8/20/09

  • This was a great recipe. I added some minced garlic (1 tsp) with the salt and pepper and onion powder. It came out wonderful! We will have this again! - 5/11/09
